About Lucia Romero

Lucia was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM.  She began dancing Ballet Folklórico and performing in regional Musical Theater at a very young age.  She later moved out to Los Angeles to study Musical Theater at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, where she earned a BFA.  With many years of dance training and education under her belt, Lucia has made Los Angeles her professional dance home, teaching hundreds of lessons and classes in Ballroom, Latin, and Nightclub styles.  She has competed and won Best Amateur in American Rhythm and American Smooth at the People’s Choice Dancesport Competition in Arizona, and recently took 2nd in Rising Star Just Salsa at the World Salsa Summit in Miami, FL.  She now hopes to pass on her knowledge to aspiring dancers of all ages and skill levels.  Her favorite dance styles to teach include waltz, tango, foxtrot, salsa, swing, and bachata.
